Bailey students compete, fundraise for nonprofits with Rotary

This is the image for the news article titled Bailey students compete, fundraise for nonprofits with RotaryA group of Bailey Middle School 7th-graders made presentations to the West Haven Rotary Club this week to persuade the Rotary to make a donation to their chosen charities. They were the top three groups chosen from their school competition that asked students to pick an international charity and present compelling facts in a PowerPoint to a panel of Bailey judges. Fourteen Bailey School Students represented three charities at Rotary level of the competition. A $500 donation was given to the international group Right2Thrive, and $250 awards were given to the American Red Cross and Food for the Hungry. Mrs. Tremblay and Mrs. O’Connor, Bailey Middle School Rotary advisors, thank all of the teachers, staff and students that participated in the event.
