Students stay busy in our Bailey classrooms, no matter the subject or lesson. Take a look at what we've been working on over the past few weeks.

Our Bailey 7th-graders have been reading about Harriet Tubman in literature circles. Each student has a different job connected to his or her assigned reading, which encourages a rich discussion of the text.

Bailey students are enjoying the 20-minute block of silent reading that has been added to their language arts class. They are given 20 minutes of quiet to relax and escape into a good read. Who wouldn’t love that? The students love to give book talks and get each other excited about reading! In the photo below, students hold up signs showing the number of books they have read during independent reading periods since school started this year.
