Welcome to Bailey Middle School!

While Bailey Middle School resembles the conventional middle school model and serves grades seven and eight, the team structure allows teachers and staff the ability to monitor student growth and know students at a more personal level, while fostering student independence. Students are grouped into “teams” that transition between five content-specific teachers. Students are introduced to a variety of elective area classes in order to pique their interest in the broad spectrum of possible career pathways and give them a taste of what West Haven High School will offer.

Announcements

  • Start getting ready for the high school years: Come to an open house at West Haven High School for Bailey students and parents. The open house is on Sept. 27 and kicks off at 6 p.m. in the WHHS stadium with a special halftime show. At 6:30 p.m., meet WHHS administrators and learn about earning college credit. At 7 p.m., see sample lessons, check out student clubs, and hear from current students.

  • Bailey students use Google Apps for Education for classwork. The Google Apps for Education include a secure email account (students may only send and receive emails from staff and students on the district network); a calendar for organizing assignments and daily activities; a document-creation toolset similar to MS Office; and a website creation tool. Any parents with questions may contact Jennifer.raba@whschools.org. For policy information on Google Apps for Education, click here.
