WELCOME TO HARRY M. BAILEY MIDDLE SCHOOL

The Bailey Middle School staff is honored to become an extended part of your family. Our goal at Bailey is to positively impact our students’ lives educationally, emotionally, and socially in order to set them up with a strong foundation for their educational careers both inside and outside of the classroom.

At Bailey we strive to, not only, provide a challenging academic program, but to provide a secure, safe, and caring environment for students, so that they may, confidently and comfortably, take on the challenges of our academic program.

The Bailey Middle School Program of Study will offer you the core academic courses (English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Math) as well as electives such as Tech Education, Computer Instruction, STEM, Chorus, Band, Spanish, Physical Education, Health and Art.

It is our hope at Bailey to form a strong bond with each child and his or her family. Together we will become Bailey Middle School. We will fill it up with our collective celebrations and successes. We will work together to overcome the obstacles and challenges that may stand in our way. At Bailey, one person is not more important than any other person. Always remember that together

WE ARE BAILEY!

Sincerely,
Rob Bohan

Welcome to Bailey Middle School!

While Bailey Middle School resembles the conventional middle school model and serves grades seven and eight, the team structure allows teachers and staff the ability to monitor student growth and know students at a more personal level, while fostering student independence. Students are grouped into “teams” that transition between five content-specific teachers. Students are introduced to a variety of elective area classes in order to pique their interest in the broad spectrum of possible career pathways and give them a taste of what West Haven High School will offer.

Bailey in Action
Bailey Creative Magazine

Our students are amazing and creative.  Each year a staff member (this year it's Mrs. Mahon) oversees our creativity magazine. The magazine is printed in June and highlights the talents of Bailey students.  In the above link, you will find drawings, poems, sketches and doodles.  Anyone can be a part of the Creative Magazine.  Enjoy and thank you for your support of such an awesome club.
