Richard Hemming
About: I teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra to 8th graders at Bailey Middle School; This is my 15th year teaching, all have been at Bailey. I was a substitute teacher and intern before I started, so I’ve been in the building for close to 20 years. I spent my first 11 years in Grade 7 and the past 4 years in Grade 8.
Hobbies: Family is #1. I love spending my time with my family and watching my 3 kids do their thing on the field and ice; I love to be outdoors. You can catch me at the beach or the golf course if the weather is nice; I’m an avid UConn Husky, New York Rangers, New York Jets, and New York Mets fan!
Fun Facts: According to my wife, I can open up anything! You got a tough lid… I got you. My kids think I’m the strongest man alive; I’ve counted to infinity…twice; I am a twin; My wife is a teacher as well.

About: I teach Grade 8 Math; It’s my 31st year total, all in West Haven; I started at Thompson teaching Kindergarten, then moved to Carrigan to teach Grade 8 Math, and now at Bailey.
Hobbies: My hobbies are ice skating and golf. My second job is a Power Skating coach for hockey.
Fun Facts: I attended Pagels, Bailey, and WHHS.
