The varsity team earned their spot by beating rival Notre Dame West Haven and will face Staples, while the unified team won both of their games this past weekend to advance and take on Windsor. West Haven High School Athletics is proud to celebrate several outstanding accomplishments by our student athletes at West Haven High School.
Our 200 Medley Relay team of Nathan Charron, Naomi Shubin, Austin Carr, and Benjamin Proano set a new school record with a time of 1:47.63, breaking a 35 year old record and making history in the pool. In addition, Nathan Charron also set a new school record in the 100 Backstroke with an impressive time of 56.55.
Briana Madera and Danielle Hawkins of our Varsity Cheerleading team earned First Team All State honors.
On the court, Noelle Lawrence of the Girls Varsity Basketball team was named SCC Player of the Year and earned All SCC First Team honors. Tigui Keita was also recognized for her outstanding season, earning All SCC Second Team honors.
Congratulations to all of these incredible student athletes for representing West Haven with pride and excellence!
