On Friday, March 8th, and Saturday, March 9th, eight Bailey band students performed in this year's CMEA Southern Region Honor Band: Audrey Asto, Giovanni Avilez, Gerardo Bahamonde, Jonathan Camaron-Meza, Daniel Goldberg, David Karapetyan, Layla Puente, and Nizhoni Wilson.

After auditioning in December, these students were selected to perform with 90 other student musicians from 36 other middle schools! They put on an amazing performance, and we are so proud of their hard work!

Students in Pat O’Connor’s Applications of Technology class at Bailey Middle School used Lego units to build robots! The seventh graders spent 6 weeks coding and building their robots. Despite some failures and frustrations along the way, the final product was amazing! The robots could do anything from dancing along to music, moving like a bug, protecting valuables like a safe, acting as a claw to grab items in hard-to-reach areas, and more! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 | Over the past 19 years, K-12 students from all over Connecticut have had the opportunity to submit their creative writing, poetry, and prose for the annual Celebration of Young Writers. This is a great opportunity for students to submit their pieces of work and compete against students from all over Connecticut.
