Bailey Middle School held its 7th & 8th Grade Winter Chorus Concert last night in the auditorium! It was the first time this group sang in public, and they did excellent. You can hear a couple of their songs on our Instagram and Facebook pages!

Endre (Andy) Sarkany, a Holocaust survivor, visited Bailey Middle School today to speak to our students. He talked about his personal experiences during the Holocaust, living under the brutality of the Soviet regime in Hungary, and finding a home in the United States. Endre also began his presentation by preaching love, and how we should remove the word “hate” from our vocabulary.

The Bailey chorus concert will take place on Tuesday, December 12th at 7 pm in the auditorium.
Bailey's new hybrid Team 9, comprised of awesome 7th and 8th graders, had the opportunity to team build in the most creative way! The whole team met in the cafeteria for two blocks and enjoyed 4 different challenges to stimulate their minds. By the conclusion of all activities, both students and teachers gained a new appreciation for each other.

Health students at Bailey Middle School had the opportunity to meet two emotional support dogs today, Officer Finn and Officer Sunny! These dogs have gone through two years of training to become emotional support dogs with the New Haven Police Department. Students have been learning about Social and Emotional Health in their health classes, and Officers Finn and Sunny allowed our students a glimpse into the social and emotional benefits of therapy dogs. Thank you Officer Lambe, for bringing in Officer Finn, and thank you Detective Boyle, for bringing in Officer Sunny to meet our Bailey students!

To celebrate World Kindness Day at Bailey Middle School, the Bettering Bailey students encouraged all members of the Bailey community to Sprinkle a little kindness today and every day! To achieve this, students were asked to decorate paper cookies with acts of kindness they recently performed, while they enjoyed a delicious sugar cookie, courtesy of Bettering Bailey!
Bailey Middle School’s Pantry has been selected by the Store Leadership Team at Stop & Shop to benefit the Community Bag Program. Bailey’s Pantry will receive $1 for every $2.50 reusable Community Bag sold during December 2023 at the Stop & Shop on 40 Elm Street, West Haven. All of the community’s support is greatly appreciated!

Today, some of our NJHS students along with our veteran custodian, Billie-Jo Brown, placed flags in front of Bailey in honor of Veteran's Day!
